In the next month, October 26, the Hainan Airlines is going to launch a non-stop flight between Chengdu and New York. Chengdu is a developed tourism city in the central of the China. It has renowned Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda. The come and back’s two ways tickets are only cost for 500 dollars, after tax.
And this is the second non-stop flight offered by Hainan Airlines between U.S. and China. The first one was the route between Chengdu and Los-Angeles. What’s more, Hainan Airlines had launched other direct route from mainland China to other eight destinations in North America. Including Toronto and Vancouver.
During the flight, the company offers both Western and traditional Asian food.
So I think it is a great example of the Asia area has built an intimate business relationship with North America. Although the major purpose of those direct flights is for the tourism. But I’m sure such cheap and convenient flights would increase in the future. It is good for both North America’s investors and other companies that want to enter the Asia market.
